I graduated in 1997 from J.B. Pennington High School and pursued a degree in Elementary Education at Wallace State College.  I obtained an Associates Degree in Science from Wallace State in 1999 and began studying Elementary Education at Athens State University.  I graduated from Athens State in 2001 with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education 
I obtained my Master’s Degree in Library Media from the University of Alabama in 2004.

     I am very excited to begin my 20th year at Susan Moore Elementary School as the Library Media Specialist.  I began teaching 2nd grade at Southeastern Elementary School in 2001.  While at Southeastern, I taught 2nd grade and kindergarten.  In 2005, I began teaching kindergarten at Susan Moore Elementary School.  I remained a kindergarten teacher until 2012, when I accepted a position as Library Media Specialist.  

I have been married to Brandon Prestridge for 14 years. We have two wonderful children, Adlee Claire (12) and Aubrey Thomas (7).  We live in Arab and attend Gilliam Springs Baptist Church. 

     I feel very blessed to be part of so many children’s lives!  I love to read and feel very privileged that it is my job to share that love of reading to others.  We have the absolute best kids at Susan Moore Elementary School. 

     I am so excited to continue working with our students to develop a love of reading, inquisitive thinking, and the power of knowledge.
